About

Ash Ledran

I'm a consultant with 15 years in CRM, and I lead LEDRAN, a specialist CRM and lifecycle practice in Surrey. I read marketing the way your customers do: quickly, on my phone, mostly deleting.

Where I've worked

I've done this job from three sides.

In-house
London Lions, CRM, Loyalty and Fan Engagement (2023–24). Lifted Care, CRM Manager (2021–22). Echo by LloydsPharmacy, Digital and CRM Manager (2019–22). Berry Bros. & Rudd, Digital Marketing and CRM Manager, leading the CRM team (2018–19).
Agency-side
For brands like Nespresso, MoneySuperMarket and the National Theatre.
With founders
Lucky Saint, WaterRower, Eleat and Bird.

What I work on

CRM strategy and lifecycle journeys. Retention, loyalty and membership programmes. Platform moves, and getting through consent changes like GDPR with the audience intact. Across email, SMS, WhatsApp, push and in-app.

How I think about it

I'm a quiet leaver. I almost never unsubscribe, I just stop opening. So every message gets three questions: why this, why now and why here?

If all that has taught me anything, it's this: technology rarely fixes anything on its own. People do.

Talks

I've talked about email and digital transformation at Webbdagarna in Stockholm.

What people say

Ash has a knack for asking ‘why’. Why is the customer seeing this? Why now?

Ciaran Macdonald, worked with Ash at two agencies

Ash approached his role with a great balance of methodical precision and creative thinking.
